Ray’s Blog

June - July 2008

Mark 16:15 – “He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation”. “Jesus told his disciples to go into the world, telling everyone that he had paid the penalty for sin and that those who believe in him can be forgiven and live eternally with God. Christian disciples today in all parts of the world are preaching this gospel to people who haven’t heard about Christ. The driving power that carries missionaries around the world and sets Christ’s church in motion is the faith that comes from the resurrection. Do you ever feel as though you don’t have the skill or determination to be a witness for Christ? You must personally realize that Jesus rose from the dead and lives for you today. As you grow in your relationship with Christ, he will give you both the opportunities and the inner strength to tell his message.” Life Application Bible NIV

Third Annual: We held our third annual golf tournament at Okeehelee Park on a recent dark and dreary day. About 20 of us braved the elements to complete the front 9 nine and they called us in. Three foursomes waited out the storm and were able to complete the back nine. The longest drive went to Pastor Moody. Many thanks to the vendors who donated golf equipment, gift certificates and many other prizes. A special thanks goes out to Promise Keepers who donated several items which were included in the goodie bags.

Weekly Conference Calls: We have been in full swing for several weeks now planning for the Pastor’s Conference on July 24 and the National Conference coming to Ft. Lauderdale September 26 & 27. If you are interested in participating in the weekly calls, please contact Pastor Dennis DeMarois at 561-737-9940 ext. 100. His email address is ddemarois@wbcbb.org. Pastor Dennis is the Conference Support Chair.

RRT at the Village: The Rolling Results Tour was held at the Village Baptist Church in June.
It was the most successful tour held to date with over 7 different churches participating. Pastor Moody, who had just returned from a mission trip to Brazil, led the devotional. There were about 30 guys in attendance which is more than at any of the Rolling Results Tours. Special thanks to the staff at the Village for their hospitality and making everyone feel welcome

Update on State Coordinator/
Community
Model:

It has been over 5 months since I was named as State Field Coordinator AFD for the state of Florida by Promise Keepers. It’s an honor and a challenge especially in light of my already demanding schedule. I covet your prayers on this journey as I move forward in His Name. Many exciting things have been happening and one of the things I have committed to do is remaining timely with my original commitment to writing this Blog monthly with which I have fallen a little tardy.

I have recently appointed a State Web Coordinator and our own Ray Rios who was recently appointed the State Training Coordinator. Kevin Beckley was appointed as an Ambassador Field Director Zone Coordinator. I also recently appointed 6-8 additional AFD (Ambassador Field Directors) who will function in various capacities from recruiting new Ambassadors to forming new Ambassador Teams who will be focusing in the areas of Theatre PK Select Events, Small Groups, Ministry Follow-Up, Prayer Team, Community Service Projects, and Short Term Missions.

Our State Web Coordinator John Delaney has done an outstanding job in designing our own local Ambassador web site which provides information regarding the development of the Ambassador Network in Florida and up to date information regarding Promise Keepers locally and nationally. Please visit the site at www.leadership.cc. Comments regarding the site are welcome.

Well, that about covers it for now. This site was recently forwarded to me and I’ll leave it with you. Years ago (www.hall4bc04.org/storm.htm). Until the August edition, be blessed and Amen. Ray Adams Rayt242611@bellsouth.net
